Security Service Manager
Salary: Around £55,000 per annum (DOE)
Location: Milton Keynes (office-based with regional travel)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Security Service Manager to lead and develop our service and maintenance operations, based out of Milton Keynes. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing engineers, service delivery, customer relationships, and operational performance across a portfolio of security contracts.
The role would suit someone with a strong background in electronic security systems who has progressed into management and understands both the technical and commercial sides of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the security service department
- Lead, support, and develop a team of field-based service engineers
- Ensure service, maintenance, and call-out SLAs are met consistently
- Oversee scheduling, resource planning, and workload management
- Act as the main escalation point for technical and customer issues
- Manage service contracts, renewals, and customer retention
- Monitor KPIs, productivity, and departmental performance
- Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards and H&S regulations
- Work closely with senior management, projects, and sales teams
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of engineers
Requirements Essential:
- Proven experience in a Security Service Manager or senior supervisory role
- Strong background in electronic security systems, including:
- CCTV
- Access control
- Intruder alarms
- Experience managing engineers and service operations
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong customer-facing and problem-solving ability
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience with enterprise or integrated security systems
- Knowledge of NSI / SSAIB standards and compliance
- Previous responsibility for budgets, KPIs, or P&L
- ECS / CSCS card or relevant technical qualifications
