Fire & Security Service Engineer – Cambridge
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Overtime + Company Vehicle + Benefits
Location: Covering Cambridge and surrounding areas

We’re partnered with a reputable fire and security company that delivers installation and maintenance services across a wide range of commercial and domestic sites. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join their team, covering the Greater Cambridge region.

The Role: You’ll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding of fire alarm and electronic security systems. This role suits an engineer with a multi-disciplined background and a strong focus on delivering excellent service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine and reactive servicing of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control
• Fault diagnosis and rectification
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards (BS5839, etc.)
• Providing clear documentation and job reports
• Supporting clients with technical queries and system operation
• Participating in an on-call rota (if required)

Requirements:

• Experience servicing both fire and security systems
• Knowledge of systems such as Texecom, Galaxy, Hikvision, Paxton, Advanced, Kentec, etc.
• Familiar with current British Standards and industry best practices
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• FIA or equivalent fire alarm qualifications (advantageous)
