Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gates Engineer to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated and manual gates, barriers, and access control systems. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair a range of automated and manual gates, barriers, and access control systems.
- Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on existing gate systems.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure gates function safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures while working on-site.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients.
- Keep accurate records of work completed and report any issues to the management team.
- Work independently or as part of a team on projects of varying scale and complexity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Gates Engineer or in a similar role within the industry.
- Strong knowledge of automated gate systems, access control, and barrier systems.
- Electrical or mechanical qualifications (such as NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable.
- Understanding of BS EN 12453 and other relevant safety standards.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional call-outs and overtime.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.
