Gates Engineer – London
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Overtime + Travel Time + Company Vehicle + Benefits
Location: Field-based – Covering London and surrounding areas

We’re working with a specialist gates and barriers company known for delivering high-quality installations and maintenance across commercial, residential, and industrial sites. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Gates Engineer to their London team.

The Role: As a Gates Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and occasional installation of automated gate systems across a range of client sites. The role offers a good variety of work with long-term progression for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing and fault-finding on automated swing, sliding, and bi-folding gates
• Working on barriers, bollards, and access systems where required
• Carrying out force testing and ensuring compliance with DHFS, BS EN 12453/12445 and current safety standards
• Occasional installation and commissioning of new systems
• Providing excellent customer service and completing accurate job reports
• Participating in the on-call rota as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience in automatic gate systems (swing, slide, bi-fold)
• Familiarity with brands such as CAME, BFT, FAAC, NICE, Roger Technology, etc.
• Knowledge of safety standards and gate automation compliance requirements
• Full UK driving licence
• ADSA or DHF accreditation desirable
• Good fault-finding and electrical/mechanical skills
