Business Development Manager
Location: Hybrid working, office-based in Watford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a dynamic team, working within London and the Home Counties. This role offers a blend of remote and office-based working, making it ideal for candidates who value flexibility while driving business growth.

The Role
The primary focus will be on developing long-term service contracts while identifying and sourcing project work, such as energy efficiency upgrades and legacy environment improvements. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing service business and shape your role with autonomy and impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and establish new relationships with FM professionals and end-user clients.
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships.
- Research and identify new markets and opportunities.
- Prepare and implement sales strategies tailored to your customer base.
- Respond promptly to sales inquiries and potential leads.
- Conduct site surveys and deliver compelling client presentations.
- Proactively target and secure meetings with decision-makers.
- Understand and interpret customer requirements, offering tailored solutions.
- Prepare accurate and professional quotations for services and projects.
- Communicate the benefits of energy efficiency and propose relevant upgrades.
- Negotiate and close sales effectively.
- Administer customer accounts and maintain CRM databases.
- Prepare reports and monitor sales activities to meet targets.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and events to support marketing efforts.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in business development and achieving growth targets.
- A background in building services or HVAC is desirable but not essential.
- Experience selling to end-users, contractors, and FM companies is advantageous.
- Strong communication, planning, presentation, and organizational skills.
- A proactive and creative problem-solver with a team-oriented approach.
- Financial acumen and the ability to create professional, accurate quotations.
- Honest, driven, and capable of thinking outside the box.
- A willingness to travel within London and the Home Counties.
- A valid UK driving license.
