Security Commissioning Engineer – West London

Salary: Up to £50,000 + Company Vehicle + Travel Time + Overtime + Benefits

Location: Field-based – West London & surrounding areas

We’re working with a growing and highly respected electronic security integrator delivering premium security solutions across commercial, high-end residential, and corporate environments. They are now seeking an experienced Security Commissioning Engineer to join their team, supporting the delivery of advanced, IP-based security systems.

The Role: You’ll be responsible for the commissioning, configuration, and final setup of integrated security systems on client sites. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a deep understanding of high-spec systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commissioning CCTV, access control, and intruder systems, with a focus on IP-based platforms
• Programming and configuring systems to client specifications
• Working closely with project managers, installation teams, and clients to ensure successful handover
• Carrying out system testing, documentation, and end-user training
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues during the commissioning phase
• Ensuring work meets relevant industry standards and health & safety regulations

Requirements:

• Proven experience commissioning electronic security systems
• Strong knowledge of networked/IP systems and platforms such as Genetec, Gallagher, Avigilon, Paxton, Hikvision, etc.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• ECS/CSCS or equivalent qualifications preferred
