Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Security Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Heathrow. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning, configuring, and troubleshooting security systems, ensuring that they meet client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission and configure electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
- Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
- Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver solutions within agreed timelines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Document commissioning processes, test results, and any issues encountered.
- Train end-users and clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest security technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Security Commissioning Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security systems such as CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
- Experience working with major security brands (e.g., Honeywell, Lenel, C-Cure, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ECS, CSCS, IPAF, PASMA) are desirable.
