We are looking for an experienced and proactive Security Service and Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering team and ensure the smooth delivery of service, maintenance, and small works across a variety of electronic security systems. This is a hands-on managerial role that combines people leadership with technical oversight and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the service and maintenance department
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers and technicians
- Plan and allocate workloads, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met
- Provide technical guidance on fault-finding, repairs, and system upgrades
- Liaise with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Conduct site visits and quality checks to ensure works are completed to standard
- Manage stock levels, tools, and equipment required for engineering activities
- Maintain compliance with health & safety and industry regulations (NSI, SSAIB, etc.)
- Identify training needs and help develop the technical capabilities of the team
- Work closely with other departments to support commissioning, projects, and client handovers
- Prepare reports and present performance updates to senior management
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar managerial role within the electronic security industry
- Strong technical background in Intruder, CCTV, Access Control, and Fire systems
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Strong communication skills, both with clients and internal teams
- Full UK driving licence
- Good knowledge of industry standards and regulations
