Role Summary

The client I am working with are looking for a BMS Project Sales Manager. Ideally, they are looking for someone who has a technical background in BMS, alongside the experience within the sales side of things. They are looking to find someone who can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities 

  • Managing key client accounts across BMS project delivery, from initial award through to commissioning and handover.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all client enquiries, requirements, and concerns are handled effectively
  • Delivering exceptional service all round, with customer satisfaction being a top priority. 
  • Hitting sales targets and pre-defined objectives. 
  • Forecasting order input amounts and timings. 
  • Fully estimating projects and producing technical proposals. 
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing clients, with a focus on repeat project work
  • Developing new business with consultants, contractors and end users. 
  • Conducting regular check-ins and business reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Assist in the planning of taking part in marketing, promotion and customer entertainment activities
  • Acting as a liaison between the client and the internal teams.

BMS Project Engineer (Ecostruxure)

Role: BMS Project Engineer
Day Rate: Up to £460 a day Outside IR35
Location: London 

Overview

Our client is an established Building Management System (BMS) company with several ongoing projects in the London area. They are looking to recruit a BMS Project engineer with experience in Schneider Ecostruxure systems.
For this role they are seeking engineers with experience in software writing and graphics experience on BMS systems.

The Client

The client is a medium-sized company managing multiple large-scale commercial projects in London. They specialise in BEMS projects, offering design, installation, commissioning and service works.
Currently they have several projects using Schneider Ecostruxure systems which are expected to continue for the next few years.

Responsibilities

The client is seeking BMS Project Engineers with the following experience:
  • Experience with Schneider Ecostruxure systems
  • BMS software writing experience
  • BMS graphics experience
  • Ability to work across the London area
  • Right to work in the UK

Senior BMS Commissioning Engineer

This posting is for an experienced Commissioning Engineer of Digital Energy BMS systems in large and complex Projects such as Life Sciences and Data Centers.

This is a customer facing position, working on customer site during all commissioning phases – Travel 80% of time away from home location.
The successful candidate shall have 8 years+ experience working with Commissioning complex BMS Mechanical Control Systems and with evidence of such formal training and be able to demonstrate such systems they have worked with during the Interview.

The successful candidate shall have 8 years+ experience working with development of BMS Software and Graphics and shall evidence experience in one or more of the following platforms:

  • NiagaraTridium.
  • Siemens Desigo or Apogee
  • Johnson Controls Metasys
  • EcoStruxure BMS Building Operation by Schneider Electric
  • Honeywell Building BMS Systems / Trend Controls.
  • PLC Platforms for Mechanical Control Systems in Buildings

Training on products where you do not have their knowledge, will be provided where required. The Senior Commissioning Engineer role would report to the Regional Operations Manager and work closely with the Country stakeholders, project management team(s), SI partners, etc to schedule commissioning activities, execute commissioning activities, coordinate with the selected System Integrator or internal commissioning team.

 
The Senior Commissioning Engineer must be an excellent team player, able to adapt to a dynamic and geographically disbursed environment.
 

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Accountable for Commissioning execution
  • Attend daily on-site meeting and be the SE “face”.
  • Responsible for ensuring aligned execution approach, Engineering Standards, documentation etc. across all projects in the region.
  • Manage the timely resolution of issues and escalate to Regional Operations when required.
  • Continually identify and proactively manage project risks and issues and ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure.
  • Adopt a dynamic and agile approach to all Commissioning execution activities to ensure schedule compliance and client satisfaction.         

Other Desirables 

  • Experience of commissioning large EMPS / ENMS Systems.
  • Experience in construction project commissioning in complex architectures and ASHRAE commissioning standards.
  • Multi-language and multi-cultural working experience.
  • An acceptable command of the written English language.

Summary of Project Scope for Commissioning Elements 

Implement the project deliverables through the Commissioning activities portion to ensure a compliant success of the approved Design and Engineering works including:

  • Support and provide advice to other Commissioning Engineers in the team.
  • Facilitate close co-ordination with 3rd parties (commissioning agents, equipment vendors, other trades, project stakeholders) to ensure commissioning schedule is maintained and achieved.
  • Systems Points Lists (Hardwired and High-level), Controls, Graphics screens, alarms, and trend logs.
  • Where errors are found during the Commissioning activities, be able to suggest and implement corrections.
  • Report to the Project Manager daily or weekly with progress achieved and issues encountered.
  • Forecast Commissioning activities for a 2 weekly look ahead and contribute expected resource levels.
  • Demonstrate the full compliance to the Clients Advisors of the completed Commissioning works in accordance with the Design & Engineering requirements and provide annotated screen shots for record purposes, along with check lists and deviation schedules to ASHRAE commissioning standards.
  • Contribute to all Healthy and Safety requirements of the project including Safe Start Meetings, and Near Miss Reporting.

BMS Commissioning Engineer

Aims of the Role

  • To be able to liaise with subcontractors, clients and other members of the clients team in an effective and positive manner.
  • Ensure that project deadlines and commissioning objectives are met whilst working closely with the project manager
  • To commission in line with the client’s specifications.
  • Review and configure project software and documentation, making modifications as necessary.

Responsibilities and Requirements

For this role you will be reporting the Technical Director. Working remotely, you will oversee the commissioning / pre-commissioning of the controls for all plant and equipment connected to the client’s system.

You will communicate regularly with project management, ensuring that you provide progress reports. In addition to this, you will identify issues and snags that are disrupting the commissioning works. For this role, you will need to liaise with sub-contractors and clients making sure that correct execution of design is achieved.

As a commissioning engineer you will at times be required to work independently and as a team. It would be seen as an advantage to have the knowledge of certain non-proprietary protocols such as Modbus, mBus and BACnet.

Most work will be within the London area, however if the need arises you might be required to cover projects in the South.
