Are you an Access Control and CCTV commissioning specialist ready to start now? We’re recruiting a Security Commissioning Lead to drive electronic security systems from installation through to client acceptance on hyperscale data centre projects across Europe.
About the client
Our client is a specialist technology delivery business within a wider European engineering group. They provide high-end ICT and electronic security solutions to data centre construction projects, from hyperscale deployments and mini clusters to upgrades on live sites. Their focus is quality, transparency and competition in a fast-growing market.
The role
You’ll be the technical focal point for security commissioning, leading Access Control and CCTV systems from pre-commissioning readiness through functional testing, IST and final handover. Reporting into the Project Manager, you’ll coordinate installers, specialist vendors and client commissioning teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain commissioning plans, test procedures, check sheets and scripts
- Confirm readiness before testing: installation, QA/QC, power, network, addressing, labelling and configuration
- Lead point-to-point, device, functional and system-level testing
- Verify Access Control: controllers, readers, door contacts, REX devices, locking interfaces and alarms
- Verify CCTV: IP cameras, recording, image quality, retention and VMS/NVR operation
- Test interfaces with fire alarm, network, intercom and building systems
- Plan and run Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and client-witnessed tests
- Manage defects and punch lists through retest and formal closure
- Report progress, constraints and completion forecasts against milestones
- Support as-builts, O&M information and final handover packs
What you’ll need
- Proven experience leading electronic security commissioning, ideally on hyperscale data centres or mission-critical sites
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Access Control architecture and IP CCTV (VMS/NVR platforms, camera configuration)
- Experience of point-to-point, functional, witnessed, SAT and integrated systems testing
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, specifications and device schedules
- Good understanding of IP networking for security systems
- Solid grasp of QA/QC, commissioning documentation, as-builts and handover
- Experience coordinating vendors, installers and client commissioning reps on live construction sites
- Fluent written and spoken English; confident with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Willing to travel across Europe
Experience working around live operational data centre infrastructure is a strong advantage.
